The first Platform North Forum

Focus was on infrastructure in the northern Nordics, and cooperation for sustainable and prosperous society development. 

The interest in the conference was great with around 200 participants mainly from Norway, Finland and Sweden. The conference was led by Pat Cox (European Coordinator for the Scandinavian Mediterranean TEN-T Corridor) and Catherine Trautmann (European Coordinator for the TEN-T North Sea Corridor).

The Swedish Minister for Infrastructure and Housing, Andreas Carlson and the Norwegian Minister of Transport and Communications Jon-Ivar Nygård participated as speakers during the conference. And so did Jarkko Saarimäki, Director-General of the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency, Finland. The Swedish Transport Administration's Director General Roberto Maiorana also participated

The conference was organized by The Swedish Transport Administration as a part of Platform North.
