Four tracks Malmö-Lund

The Southern Main Line – running between Lund and Arlöv – is being upgraded from two to four tracks. The capacity on the line will increase and the rail traffic will be less sensitive to disturbance.

Parts of the route are built below ground level to reduce noise disturbances. More and better crossings are built over the tracks to reduce the railway's barrier effect in local communities.

Construction started in October 2017. Four tracks on the route and four new stations will be in operation by 2023.

Train stop Malmö-Lund September 22 - October 1

Between September 22 and October 1 four new tracks will be connected to The Southern Main Line. During the work all traffic between Malmö and Lund will be stopped.

Replacement buses will operate the route. Plan for the stop and expect longer travel time. Up-to-date travel information during the stop can be found in Skånetrafiken’s app or in the train companies’ sites.
