Anti-discrimination requirements for suppliers in procurement

The Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) imposes anti-discrimination requirements in the procurement of contracts.

Once every twelve months during the contract period, suppliers holding a contract with Trafikverket must submit a sworn statement to the agency.

Trafikverket issues the anti-discrimination clause in accordance with the Regulation on Anti-Discrimination Clauses in Procurement Contracts (2006:260). As a supplier to Trafikverket, you must be able to account for your work with active measures in accordance with the Discrimination Act (2008:567).

You must also, upon request, submit a sworn statement. This sworn statement declares whether you, or an employee under your responsibility, have violated a criminal provision or a prohibition against discrimination. When requested, this must be done using the form available below under “Form.” The form specifies the information required.

The purpose of the requirement is to counteract discrimination. No people should be exploited or come to harm, laws must be followed, and competition should be fair.
