Planning and design for The Stockholm bypass.
JV Vianini CMC and The Swedish Transport Administration signs the rock tunnel contracts FSE 302 and 308

The contracts include the construction of access tunnels, two temporary jetties, ramp tunnels and main tunnels under Lovön in Ekerö municipality. Building is expected to start in autumn 2016. The contract value is approximately SEK 3.7 billion.
Implenia Construction GmbH was awarded the contract to build the FSE 410, rock tunnels in Lunda

The assignment includes the construction of 1.6 km of parallel main tunnels, about 200 meters underground work and a pumping station. Construction start in August 2016 and work is expected to last 5 years. The contract value is approximately SEK 500 million.
NCC Construction AB has been awarded the contract FSE502 Interchange Hjulsta Norra

The contract includes the construction of the concrete tunnel and trough. Work is expected to take five years. The contract value of the works is estimated at SEK 608 million.
NCC builds FSE62, Interchange Häggvik

FSE62 Interchange Häggvik becomes a complex interchange that connects to the existing E4, Norrortsleden and the local road network. The contract includes the design and construction of two 260 meter long concrete tunnels, four bridges and a number of retaining walls, fire and noise protection, electricity, water and sewage and storm water pumping station and warehouses. The construction period is estimated to be about 5 years. The contract value is approximately SEK 740 million.

Züblin Scandinavia has been awarded the contract FSE61, Interchange Akalla
The contract FSE61 Interchange Akalla includes building large retaining structures for excavations, concrete tunnel, concrete trough and roundabouts. The contract value is approximately SEK 710 million.
I & T Ohlsson has been awarded inspection mission

I & T Ohlsson has been awarded the contract as principal surveyor for the Stockholm Bypass construction contracts. After the contract expanded mandate to include deputy inspectors in the following technology areas:
- Land and facility
- Electricity
- Buildings
- Rock
- Water and sewage
Veidekke Construction AB has been awarded FSE607

Veidekke Construction AB has been awarded the contract FSE607 access tunnel Akalla. The contract includes the construction of a access tunnel to the main tunnels between Hjulsta and Akalla.
The contract value of the works is about 29 million and construction is scheduled to start in November this year.
Bilfinger has been awarded to build FSE403

Bilfinger Construction will build a large part of the Stockholm Bypass in Vinsta. From 1 July they are part of Implenia Construction and have also changed their name.
The contract FSE403 rock tunnel Johannelund includes a 4 kilometer main tunnel and evacuation tunnels between the main tunnels and the ramp tunnels at the connecting interchanges. The contract value of the works in Vinsta is about 2,1 billion SEK. The decision can be appealed within ten days of the contract being awarded according the Public Procurement Act.
Skanska has been awarded large contract in Kungens kurva

The contract for FSE 105 Betongtunnel Kungens Kurva was awarded to Skanska AB. The contract contains the on and off ramps to the Stockholm bypass coming from the south. The contract also includes a new overhead roundabout, a concrete trough, a concrete tunnel, 20 metres of rock tunnel, an air exhaust station and a footpath between Skärholmen and Kungens Kurva.
The contract is estimated to be worth about 130 million euro.
Construction management is ready

The organisation for construction management for the rock tunnels is now ready. Faveo Projektledning AB won the contract to lead the construction management organisation for the rock tunnels in the southern parts of the E4 Stockholm bypass in Skärholmen and Lovö. ÅF Infrastructure AB has won the contract to lead the construction management organisation for the rock tunnels in the northern parts of the E4 Stockholm bypass called Johannelund, Lunda and Akalla.
The contracts is estimated to be worth about 116 and 6 million euro.
Subterra consortium won large contract in Skärholmen/Sätra
The Czech company Subterra in consortium with the Slovak company STI has been awarded the contract to build two access tunnels and a temporary jetty in Skärholmen and Sätra in southern Stockholm (FSE 210). It is one of six main contracts for the rock work.
The contract Skarholmen / Sätra estimated to be worth about 15 million euro. The award of the contract have not been appealed.
Widening of three bridges in Häggvik
NCC Construction Sverige AB has in May 2014, been awarded contract for the works with widening three bridges nearby the Häggvik interchange. The work is planned to begin in the end of 2014 and take about a year to finish.
Mechanical & Electrical systems
In march 2013, the technical consultants for producing the tender documents have been procured.
The assignment has been split into nine parts, which have been shared among three different consultancy firms. WSP Sverige AB, Sweco Industry AB and ÅF Infrastructure AB.
The contracts were awarded as follows:
- WSP Sverige AB won the contracts for MEP, Wastewater treatment, Lighting, Telecommunications, Traffic Control, Traffic Technology and Fire Protection.
- Sweco Industry AB won the contract for Electrical Systems and Canalisation
- ÅF infrastructure AB won the contracts for CCTV and control systems, and for Mobile Telephony, RAKEL and broadcasting.
The work begins immediately, and the tender documents are planned to be ready in October 2015.
Hjulsta interchange
In October 2012, Tyréns has been awarded contract for the Hjulsta interchange. The consulting assignment includes to establish the tender documents for the design-build contracts wich describes the concrete tunnels, bridges, road including ramps and temporary diversion of Akallalänken.
Rock tunnels and Akalla - Häggvik interchanges
The project entered a new phase in 2011. Three different consulting groups have been awarded contracts to establish construction documents:
- ÅF Infrastructure AB and URS (former Scott Wilson Ltd.); Interchanges Akalla and Häggvik and the Rock tunnels.
- Grontmij AB and Golder Associates AB; Interchange Kungens kurva.
- The consortium Förbifart Stockholm comprising of Sweco Infrastructure AB, WSP Sweden AB and AB Tyréns; Installation basics.
