Thank you for constructive cooperation but no thank you to gifts
In preparation for the upcoming Christmas season, Trafikverket’s Director-General has sent out letters to Trafikverket’s major suppliers, thanking them for their cooperation during the past year.
In the letter, the suppliers are instructed not to give Christmas gifts nor send out invitations to activities linked to entertainment or pleasure to Trafikverket’s employees.
Ever since Trafikverket was established in 2010, the Director-General has sent out a letter with a reminder about the rules regarding Christmas gifts and invitations to events linked to entertainment or pleasure. Neither Trafikverket nor its employees can accept anything that can influence, or could be viewed as influencing, the agency’s objectiveness and impartiality.
Trafikverket is Sweden’s largest public purchaser, conducting procurements for more than SEK 40 billion every year. Trafikverket must act in such a way that its clients and the world around can feel confident that the agency performs its task in an objective, responsible and efficient way. Counteracting bribery, corruption and improper rewards is of utmost importance to Trafikverket.
