Procurement news
Here you will find the common environmental requirements to be applied in contracts commissioned by the cities of Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö.
The requirements are based on a joint agreement and aim to reduce environmental and climate impact during the execution of construction contracts. These environmental and climate requirements apply both to the procurement and execution phases. Some of the requirements may also be used for consultants, for example during design work. In addition to the common requirements, there may also be site- and project-specific requirements. These are specified in the procurement documents.
The cities of Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, and the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) have jointly developed a shared guideline for these requirements. Templates and supporting documents are not mandatory but may be used if the contracting authority has no preference for specific formats.
Other cities or municipalities are encouraged to use these requirements in their own procurements and to refer to the guideline, provided this is approved by the relevant committee and/or municipal council.
