Environmental requirements in contracts

Here a compilation is made of the environmental requirements that apply in contracts that are procured by the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) , both common and supplementary requirements.

This describes the environmental requirements that should be applied to contracts ordered by the cities of Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, or the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket).

The requirements are based on an agreement and focus on reducing environmental and climate impact during the execution of the projects. For contracts where Trafikverket is the contracting authority, certain adaptations and additions to the requirements have been made. In addition to these requirements, there may also be project- and site-specific requirements. These will be specified in the request for proposals.

Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, and Trafikverket have together developed a joint guideline for the requirements. Other cities or municipalities may benefit from using these requirements in their tenders and referring to the guidelines if accepted by the relevant committee and/or city council.
