NPI as an index will be gradually phased out. However, Statistics Sweden, SCB, is specially tasked with calculating the NPI up to and including 31 December 2018 bearing in mind the existing contracts in which NPI is used. Trafikverket will during the same period present the NPI on its website in line with an agreement with SCB.
The NPI will be reported 10 working days after publication of the corresponding month's Consumer Price Index (CPI). The publication of CPI follows SCB's publication calendar.
