Everyone in Sweden is welcome to borrow literature from our library. You can visit us in Borlänge or order books for borrowing, which are then sent to you. We send the literature you have borrowed to you by post free of charge, but it is your responsibility to pay for the return postage.
Loan conditions
Loan periods: Books, reports and journals (not the latest issues): 30 days
You are responsible for returning borrowed literature before the expiry date. The loan period can be extended provided nobody else is waiting to borrow the book or media concerned.
You will be liable to pay compensation if the item you have borrowed is lost or is damaged. If after three reminders you have not returned the item(s) you have borrowed, the following conditions apply:
- for lost or damaged books or other borrowed media, you will be billed for an amount corresponding to the cost of replacing the item(s) in question plus a handling charge of SEK 100. If it proves to be impossible to replace the item borrowed with a new purchase, we will instead bill you SEK 250 plus a handling charge of SEK 100. It is not our policy to repay this charge even though the item borrowed is returned at a later date.
- You may not borrow anything else from us until such payment has been made.
It is your responsibility to inform the library of any changes in your contact data.
Borrowers from other countries
If you live or work outside Sweden, contact your local library, which will then act as an intermediary for any literature you may wish to borrow.
