The new railway is complete and was connected with existing track in 2014.
What have we built?
The new double track that goes past Jakobshyttan is a 3.5-km-long passing loop. Thanks to the new track, we have built a straighter railway. The railway has been adapted for the future double track between Hallsberg and Degerön. The passing loop increases capacity and allows for more flexible traffic.
