Procurement for the Varberg tunnel, West Coast Line, Varberg-Hamra

The project´s mission is to ensure an expansion to double track in a tunnel underneath Varberg which is part of the expansion of the entire West Coast Line between Gothenburg and Lund.

The Swedish Transport Administration has procured a design and build contract with a high level of co-operation through the application of the Swedish Transport Administration's guidelines for ECI - Early Contractor Involvement contract, with the detail design and performance part as an option (Phase 2).

The client estimates the total cost of the project at SEK 6,00 billion priced in year 2015.
